May Favorites

I'm a little late on this but here are some of the things that I loved in the month of May!

Once Upon a Time Season 4B Finale: Throughout the second half of season 4 of OUAT, I was really annoyed with all of the characters. They were acting without thinking things through and the episodes were boring. The finale completely made up for the crap that has gone on this past half season. I don't want to say much because of spoilers but let's just say that I am so excited to see how season 5 plays out now that some of the character's roles in the series will be changed.

Pitch Perfect 2: When the first Pitch Perfect movie came out, my friend Hannah and I went and saw it multiple times in theaters and since then I've watched it so many times that I can quote the entire movie. I was really excited when it was announced that a sequel would be coming out but I had high expectations. Although Pitch Perfect 2 wasn't as good as the first one, I still enjoyed it. This one follows the Bellas in their senior year of college and they seem to have lost their way. Everyone is trying to figure out what to do after they graduate while also focusing on winning the world a cappella championship. It was cute and funny and I loved that we got to see how the characters have developed through their years at Barden.

April Favorites

The month of April was absolutely insane. I'm happy to say that I have finished my first year of college! I've been on summer vacation for a few days now and it feels really weird to not have classes or homework to worry about. Overall, April was a good month. Here are some of the things I loved in the month of April.

Books
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell: I adore this book. This was a reread for me and it gave me all the feels. It's so good. Go pick it up. I guarantee you won't regret it! I also did a full review of Fangirl if you want to check that out!

The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen: I picked this book up for the Booksplosion book of the month read along, hosted by some of my favorite book tubers on youtube. This follows a girl named Kelsea who is now of age to become queen and take back her kingdom. The only problem is is that many people want her dead. This book is filled with political intrigue and a strong female protagonist. It started out very slow but I eventually became more interested and ended up really enjoying this book. Check out my full review if you want to know more!

December Favorites

December was a great month. Not only did I finish my finals early, I was able to spend most of it at home with my family and friends. December is one of my favorite months because of the Christmas feeling that is all around. In my family, we start decorating right after Thanksgiving, so when I got home, my house had been turned into a Christmas wonderland. December was a fabulous month and was a great way to end 2014.

Some of my favorite things:

Once Upon a Time Mid-Season Finale: Oh. My. This was amazing. OUAT is my favorite show and I had been anticipating the very hyped finale the entire season. I am happy to say that I was not disappointed. I spent most of the season hating the Snow Queen, but soon grew to love her. The entire #OnceisFrozen arc was fantastic and I was sad to see Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff leave Storybrooke. Although they are gone, the Queens of Darkness have teamed up with the now banished Rumpelstiltskin and I can't wait to see the havoc they wreck on the citizens of Storybrooke (plus Captain Hook survived which mean more #CaptainSwan!!!)

Christmas: This year's Christmas was fantastic. I got to spend lots of time with my family and friends. My sister, best friend Ashley, and I had a Christmas party where we ate lots of food and watched movies all night. We exchanged presents and hung out. It was so much fun. My dad's side of the family came over for Christmas Eve and we had a gift exchange. On Christmas, we went to my grandparent's house, ate breakfast, and opened gifts. Everyone was so happy and it was a great time for my family to be together.

New Years Eve: I had a very full day on New Years Eve. First, I went to my friend Katie's birthday party. We went downtown and made candles at a local shop. We went around and smelled about 100 different candle scents and picked out our top ten. After we had our top scents picked out, the workers picked out three that would fit well together. We were able to test the different scents and make our candles. Mine was hot cocoa, cinnamon spice, and candy cane scented. After the party, I went out to dinner with my family and Ashley. We then went and saw Into the Woods (which was amazing btw). When we got home, we watched the ball drop and drank sparkling grape juice. My sister, Ashley, and I stayed up until about 2:30 a.m. watching The Other Woman, That's So Raven and Lizzie McGuire. It was a great way to ring in the new year.

December was a great month and I can't wait to see what's ahead.

November Favorites

November was such a crazy month for me. Not only am I preparing for finals but also I had a lot of holiday/family events that I had to go to. November was a great month and I can't wait to see what December holds!

"Smile" by R5: Ahhhhhh I loooooove this song! R5 is one of my favorite bands of all time and this has become one of my favorite songs out of all of them. It is so catchy and fun and it makes me smile (haha see what I did there :))

Peppermint Mocha Frappucinnos: Starbucks finally released their holiday drinks and I couldn't be happier. They are so delicious and really get me into the Christmas spirit!

Nykerk: At my college, we have a competition between the freshmen and sophomores called Nykerk. It involves song, oration, and play. This year I chose to be involved in song and I had the best time! I made so many new friends and had such a great experience. The best part was that Even Year won the entire competition! #evenyeareveryyear

Thanksgiving Break: I had four days off for Thanksgiving break and spent most of the time with my family. Wednesday night, we went over to my grandparents house and helped set up for dinner the next day. I made the pumpkin pie (and it was delicious, if I do say so myself) and then we watched the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special. Thursday, my entire family came over and we ate way too much food. When we got home that night, my family set up our Christmas tree and I decorated my room. Friday was probably one of my favorite days of all break. After going shopping in the morning, I went over to my best friend Natalee's house for a cookie decorating extravaganza. All of my friends from high school came and we hung out until about 11:30 at night decorating cookies, watching movies, and eating tons of junk food. It was as if no time had passed at all.

As November comes to an end, I am incredibly grateful for everything that I was able to do this past month. I have had such a good time and life just keeps getting better! I can't believe that November is already over, but I am super excited for December! So many things are coming up, like Christmas and the Once Upon a Time mid-season finale, that I can't wait to see what else it brings!

October Favorites 2014

So October was a very good month for me. Not only did I discover many new things, I also was able to participate in some cool events.

Once Upon a Time: Holy crap. I love this show so much. I spent the summer watching the first three seasons and have become completely obsessed. Season 4 premiered back in September and as the season continues, it keeps getting better. I love the action, romance, and of course, the fairy tales. It is such an amazing show and I can't wait to see what happens next! (also #CaptainSwan is my ultimate OTP).

Taylor Swift 1989: I have been a Taylor Swift fan since she started making music back when she was still 16 years old. I have all of her albums and I listen to them constantly. When 1989 finally came out, I listened to it on repeat for days. My favorite songs are "Blank Space," "Style," "Out of the Woods," and "Bad Blood."

Chai Tea Lattes from Starbucks: Okay, so I have always been a frappuccino kind of girl. It wasn't until recently that I tried the chai tea latte and I have completely converted. It is so good. It smells like Christmas and it tastes even better. It is the perfect pick me up on cold fall days.

Halloween: For Halloween this year, my best friend Morgan and I decided to go to a few events/parties at our college. After going out on Halloween to try and find costumes, I finally settled on a witch while she chose to be a thief. The entire night we laughed, danced, sang, took tons of pictures, and, of course, ate way too much candy!

Chicago: Towards the end of the month, I was able to spend the day in Chicago with my college. The students that went woke up bright and early Saturday morning to board buses and begin the three hour trip to the city. Once there, a group of my friends and I went shopping around the city. We went to Millennium Park and took pictures by the Bean, went shopping all over Michigan Avenue, ate some of the best pizza in the city, and ate the biggest cupcakes I have ever seen. It was such a fun trip and a nice change of scenery from my everyday college life.

I can't believe that it's already November! So many things are happening and my life is going to be crazy! My first semester of college is almost over and I will soon be registering for my second semester. I have a bunch of events coming up, plus getting ready for the holidays! I am so excited to start decorating for Christmas (it's kind of a problem...), plus, Thanksgiving is on it's way! I can't wait to see what the month brings!

Hope everyone has a great November!
